What to include in a boutique hotel’s digital guest directory

Give guests useful answers in one place. Start with the information your reception team repeats most often, then add services that fit your property.

Cover the essentials first

Include reception contact details, check-in and check-out times, Wi-Fi instructions and the practical information guests need in their room. Make urgent contact information easy to find. Keep essential instructions available through a suitable offline alternative too.

Make dining easy to understand

Show restaurant and breakfast hours, room-service availability and current menus. State clearly how guests should make a request or reservation. Publishing information is different from taking bookings or payments; describe only the processes your team actually supports.

Introduce the services you offer

Add spa treatments, facilities and local recommendations where relevant. Use current opening hours and explain who guests should contact. Leave out empty sections rather than making a small property look as though it offers services it does not have.

Assign an owner to every update

Name the person responsible for each menu, opening time and seasonal offer. Review the directory before busy periods and whenever a service changes. A shorter, accurate directory is more useful than an extensive one with outdated information.

Check the mobile experience

Open the guest view on a real phone and tablet. Check readable text, image loading, tap targets and whether guests can reach important information without long scrolling. Use your own approved imagery and brand language; keep decorative elements secondary to the answers guests need.

Evaluate a small pilot

Choose one property and a manageable set of services. Vaxeron brings hotel information, dining and spa content into a branded guest directory managed in the back office. It does not replace a PMS or promise universal integrations. Start with a 14-day pilot, no card and no automatic paid conversion; discuss any extension or bespoke work separately.
